The McLeish Estate grown Semillon 2005 is the traditional premium white wine of the Hunter Valley, with a grassy green tint in colour and a bouquet displaying honey and zesty citrus characters. The fruit/acid balance ensures hints of lemon enhancing an elegant finish.

2006 Semillon

The McLeish Estate Semillon 2006 made from hand picked estate grown fruit, displaying an initial grassy green tint in the colour with a slight honey bouquet and zesty citrus characters. The fruit/acid balance ensures a long length to an elegant finish.

The McLeish Estate Semillon 2007displays an initial grassy green when young, but with ageing will develop a golden tint.   The wine has a citrus character when young, but with ageing will develop intense toast and honey flavours.  The fruit/acid balance ensures a long length to an elegant finish.

2007 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc (SSB, New Release)

A new marriage of our.Semillon with Sauvignon Blanc that comes from Orange. The soft, fruity green apple characters of this sauvignon blanc when coupled with our Semillon gives an elegant wine that is ripe peaches and passionfruit, less green, less tart and gives a perfect balance of strength and structure to the wine.

Cuisine  -  A great quaffing wine, or enjoy with Asian cuisine and fresh summer salads

2007 Verdelho (New Release) 

The McLeish Estate Verdelho again has vibrant tropical fruit aromas that will fool you inot thinking thia will be a slightly sweet tasting wine, yet it has a fresh crisp, clean and dry finiish.

Cuisine  -  We suggest Asian cuisine or fresh summer salads abd a definite kitchen wine that will keep the cook happy whilst creating their own stir fry dishes.

McLeish Estate premium 2005 Vintage Chardonnay gold medal winner, was made from high quality hand picked fruit grown on our Middle Creek - Limestone Ridge Block in Pokolbin that consistently produces powerful fruit driven quality fine wines.

The fruit has been married finely well with delicately nurtured barrel-fermenting for nine months through first and second year French Oak barriques. This wine has an attractive nutty, cashew toasted aromas, creamy citrus and melon fruit overtones on the palate for your continued pleasure.

2004 Reserve Chardonnay BIN END SPECIAL

The 2004 McLeish Estate Reserve Chardonnay whilst still recovering from the 2003 drought has again produce top quality fruit from our low yielding vines

The high quality hand picked fruit have been meticulously handled through first and second year French Oak barriques ageing for eight months that has contributed to the full creamy palate textures.

Our Reserve Chardonnay exhibits an attractive nutty, cashew toasted aromas, and distinctively quality fruit characters of citrus, pear and melon on the nose and has glorious depth to the palate.

Cuisine – White meats, seafood and Asian style dining.
Cellaring Potential – 3 to 4 years.

2007 Merlot - New Release 

Attractive, lifted, red berry fruits enhanced with a subtle, sweet American Oak complexity.  Medium Cherry Purple in colour.  Light to medium bodied, juicy plum and raspberries with lovely soft tannins.

Oak - 20% New American Oak and 80% Older French and American Oak.

 Cuisine  - Red Meats, Wild Game, Pasta and Soft Cheeses.
 
Cellaring Potential  -  An excellent food wine which can be enjoyed today and will be rewarded with a further 5 years.

2006 Shiraz  (Limited stock - not for tasting)

Gold Award – NSW Small Winemaker's Wine Show 2007

Powerful spice, chocolate and spent coffee grain characters intermingled with classy American Oak. Gorgeous deep purple red in colour.

 Medium to full in weight, dark berry fruits and earth, with a juicy acidity and savoury, yet supple tannin structure.

 Oak – 15% New American Oak, 15% 1 year old American Oak, 20% 2 year Old American Oak and 50% Older American Oak.

 Cuisine  - Red Meats, Pasta, Wild Game and Cheeses.

2006 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Vibrantly perfumed aromas with scents of violets, cassis and a touch of mintiness with attractively integrated cedar/vanillin French Oak.

 Smooth and plush, featuring small berried fruit characters and fine grained, dusty tannins.

 Oak – 20% New French Oak, 60% 2 year old French Oak and 20% 3 year Old French Oak.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz 

Harmonious deep berry and plum ruby red.  80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Shiraz.

 Elegantly balanced in weight with dark berry fruits and mouth filling richness.

 Oak – American Oak.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 

Traditional Bordeaux Blend of  60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.

 Harmonious deep berry and cherry purple colour.  Soft tannins offering an intense fragrance of spicy coffee grain and red berry fruits.

Medium-full bodied palate, elegant balanced in weight and proportioned with primary fresh and vibrant juicy plum and blackcurrant, very fine tannins on a long finish.

 Oak – Cabernet Sauvignon 100% French Oak, Merlot 60% American Oak and 40% French Oak.

 Cuisine  - Red Meats, Pasta, Wild Game and Cheeses.
 Cellaring Potential  -  2007 to 2015
Alc/Vol - 14.2%

2003 Reserve Shiraz

The 2003 Reserve Shiraz wine is made from fruit grown on our Middle Creek Lime Stone Ridge Vineyard in Pokolbin will be very rewarding as our previous vintages and offers all those unique characters of the Hunter Valley.

The fruit went through drought conditions with the wine becoming well balanced by complex American Oak characters, acids and fine integrated tannins that will persist with a long even palate and assist in giving excellent long length and depth with a full lifted bouquet ever so rich in colour.

This wine has been fined with tannin (a nut product) and egg white.

Cuisine – Wild game, pasta, cheeses and salmon.
Cellaring Potential – Enjoy today or with further 5-6 years will be rewarding.
